Man Down - an immediate situation of danger to the worker.

Course of the sample risk incident

Hazard at work
A lone worker performing unsupervised activities, as a result of external factors (trauma, environmental factors, e.g. gases) or a change in health, may lose consciousness, become unconscious or be unable to change their position and find themselves in a life-threatening situation. The MAN DOWN function is used to signal a situation in which a worker falls. His radio will change position from vertical to horizontal.
1
Silent alarm
The PABLO radiotelephone is equipped with a tilt and stillness sensor. If a fall is detected, the radio activates a so-called silent alarm after a preset time in the system. It beeps and vibrates. By pressing a defined report key, the alarm is interrupted.
2
Main alarm - danger signalling
1. if there is no response from the employee, a loud ALARM is triggered on the radio.
2. display of the employee's LOCATION and the incident alert on the DISTRIBUTOR'S CONSOLE.
3. VOICE COMMUNICATIONS of the occurrence of an emergency in the incident area via the intercom system.
4. sending of emergency SMS messages to the CRISIS TASK.
3
PABLO console - visualisation of the incident on a site map
The system ALARMS the occurrence of an emergency, shows the current location of the PABLO Agent on a map of the area in the PABLO Console installed at the dispatcher's station and/or other supervisory team stations. GPS LOCATION as well as in signal attenuating, underground, concrete or disturbed premises.
4
PABLO console - dispatcher station
The dispatcher or those dedicated to supervising lone workers performs the procedure prepared for a specific incident, activates the rescue teams and coordinates the entire operation. At the end of the emergency, he/she describes the course of events, leaving a permanent trace and time information of the incident.
5
Communication - a critical link in risk signalling
The PABLO system allows integration with Zenitel intercom systems, resulting in an automated process of sending voice or audio warnings in the zone where the emergency has occurred. In addition to signalling, Hytera and Zenitel systems provide extensive critical communication functionality, group and dedicated communication between fixed intercom devices and portable radios.
6
Rescue action
The PABLO system provides information not only on the location of the injured worker, also the current location of other PABLO Agents. With this information, the plant dispatcher can actively support the crisis team with the necessary information. The most important advantage, however, is CRITICAL COMMUNICATION, which is a combination of all the advantages of a mobile PABLO System, independent of the operators' infrastructure and power supply. The level of safety is significantly increased by a well thought-out communication strategy between the DMR radio systems and the fixed intercom infrastructure.
7
Closure of the incident
The action coordination carried out by the dispatcher leaves the necessary information in the PABLO System, i.e. the time trail and location of the incident and the necessary description of the course of the incident. These are elements used in post-accident documentation or for health and safety statistics.
